We officially welcomed an order of Franciscan Sisters from India into our parish on Saturday, January 26, 2014. On that date, a Mass of Inauguration was held at St. Peter's and was attended by parishioners of both parishes as well as Mother Rexia Mary, the Mother Superior from India.
Their charism and mission is outreach to the marginalized, spiritual leadership, and helping to teach the Faith.
The Sisters focus on social work, visiting the imprisoned, hospitalized, elderly, and handicapped as well as a have a presence at Bishop Flaget School and our parish PSR program.
You can become a Sister Guardian! Sister Guardians commit, in addition to their parish support, to providing a $1,000 per year for three years to support the sisters. Other support for the Sisters comes from the Bishops Annual Appeal donation overages. The support for the Sisters is thus separate from the parish's regular operating expenses.

Thank you for being a part of this important mission of the church.
