St. Mary's Queen on the Missions answered a call from the Missions Office at the Diocese.   Fr. Hilary Ike was looking for a monstrance for an upcoming trip to Nigeria.   St. Mary's reached out to Gina Sergio in the Mission Office and said that we had a monstrance that was not in use and maybe Fr. Hilary would be interested. 

Fr. Sean Dooley agreed and delivered the monstrance to the Missions Office.

Upon returning from his trip, Father Hilary connected with Gina Sergio with some pictures of the monstrance in it's new home.   The joy on the faces is so uplifting.  Here is the email from Father Hilary Ike:

Hello Gina ,
I have returned from my visit to Nigeria and wish to share some of the pictures from my visit. The female Religious who received the Monstrance from St Mary Waverly and the rosaries from the Missions office run a school for the deaf and dumb. Some of the kids are also people with autism.
In all, the sisters were so happy that a Church community in far away United States thought about them. They promised to pray for the Mission office and for the donors. Appreciation letters from the Superior General of the Congregation shall be sent via email to your office.
